Maintenance Key Points of PPR Pipe Extrusion Production Line

The following are the maintenance key points for the PPR pipe extrusion production line, for your reference.

I. Maintenance of Extruder System

1. Cleaning of Screw and Barrel

Before starting the extruder, it is necessary to check if there are any remaining materials on the inner walls of the screw and barrel. At the end of each production shift, use dedicated cleaning material (such as PE material) for cleaning to avoid affecting the quality of the pipe materials due to carbonization of the materials.

2. Maintenance of Bearings and Gearbox

Regularly check the temperature of the bearings of the extruder (normal temperature should not exceed 60℃). The lubricating oil of the gearbox should be replaced every 3,000 hours to ensure good lubrication of the transmission system.

3. Calibration of Temperature Control System

The melting point of PPR raw materials is approximately 200-230℃. The temperature control instrument should be calibrated daily to prevent temperature deviations from causing unstable pipe material performance.

II. Maintenance of the Stabilization and Cooling System

1. Cleaning of the Stabilization Mold

The inner walls of the stabilization mold are prone to accumulate scale or residual materials. They should be disassembled and cleaned weekly to ensure the smoothness and defect-free condition of the outer surface of the pipe.

2. Management of the Cooling Water Tank

Check the water level and temperature of the cooling water tank. In summer, the water temperature should not exceed 30℃. Regularly clean the debris inside the tank to prevent blockage of the circulating water pump.

3. Tension Adjustment of the Traction Machine

The pressure on the traction wheels should be uniform to avoid deformation of the pipe. Check the wear condition of the traction wheels every shift and replace the severely worn wheel grooves in time.

III. Maintenance of Tube Cutting and Rolling System

1. Maintenance of Cutting Blades and Blades

The cutting blade should be checked for sharpness every 8 hours. Replace it promptly when it is worn out to ensure a smooth and clean cut.

2. Tension Control of Rolling Machine

The tension of the rolling machine needs to be adjusted according to the specifications of the pipe material to avoid loose or wrinkled pipes due to uneven tension.

3. Inspection of Electrical Control System

Daily check the PLC system and the connection of sensors for any looseness. Check the normal operation of the touch screen display. Report any abnormalities for repair in a timely manner.

The maintenance of the PPR cold water pipe extrusion production line should be combined with the production records to establish an equipment ledger. Pre-stockage of easily worn parts (such as screws and molds) is recommended. It is suggested to conduct a comprehensive inspection once a month, focusing on checking for abnormal noises, oil leakage, and temperature control abnormalities, to ensure the continuous and stable operation of the production line.
